How would you best describe your nest?
I would say my home is:
inviting
well-decorated (hopefully)
full of pictures
and dog hair
While I'm not proud of and am constantly cleaning up the furry remnants that my dog sheds all over the house, I love that my walls are covered with photos from over the years. I have always loved taking pictures. I really enjoy capturing beautiful moments and memories here and there and displaying them in the place where we nest and rest. I love walking through my house and having a photo take me back to a special time in my life.
For the past couple months, I've been on a little bit of a picture-taking hiatus, and it's because stinker pot Rowe someone broke my baby. This baby:
Now, I can't really and completely blame my small someone, because good ole' Mommy McCoy is guilty of leaving the camera alone and defenseless on top of the counter (with the strap hanging down no less) in perfect range for the reach of little go-go gadget arms. I'm sure you can imagine the shrieks and shatters Miss Nikon made when her lens and body smashed on my hardwood.
Yeahhhh, it wasn't pretty.
After a couple hundred dollars later (awesome)...Miss Nikon being shipped for repair to and from The Big Apple...and a new memory card, my old friend is back in business and safe in my arms...and definitely kept far away from baby's. Now, I am ready to get to snapping sweet pictures of my even sweeter little family!
I've got big plans for Easter pictures, and they might include little boy saddle shoes and an overload of pastels and monogramming. I'm excited, but I can promise you my boys won't be.
Happy Easter!

I really want you to ass some decorating touches to my house! Can't wait to see you and Rowe next week!
Ashley ... you are beyond creative. I can't wait to see the Easter pictures.
I love you,
Mom
P.S. Love Mrs. Southern's post. :)
That is so funny that you wrote about this! Alex just bought me a Nikon case this past week because I am always leaving my Nikon just laying around. He was afraid Klara would pull it down and break it, just like little Rowe did!
First comment...Spell Check?
Sorry for the spelling above!! I was reading your blog from my phone with an almost 4 month old in my hands eating at the same time! Multitasking mom! I promise I can spell and even have a college degree! Haha! :)
